Who Is XEOMIN for?

XEOMIN (zee-oh-min) is a treatment option for adults with upper limb spasticity, cervical dystonia, and blepharospasm.

State-of-the-art proprietary manufacturing process purifies botulinum toxin A into XEOMIN1

The active ingredient in XEOMIN is a type of botulinum toxin called incobotulinumtoxinA. Merz, the maker of XEOMIN, uses a proprietary purification process to remove accessory proteins from botulinum toxin A to make XEOMIN.1 The clinical significance of a lack of accessory proteins, including any impact on safety or efficacy, has not been established.

XEOMIN® is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used to treat:1

  • increased muscle stiffness in the arm of adults with upper limb spasticity
  • abnormal head position and neck pain in adults with cervical dystonia (CD)
  • abnormal spasm of the eyelids (blepharospasm) in adults who have had prior treatment with onabotulinumtoxinA (BOTOX®)

The potency units of Xeomin are not interchangeable with other botulinum toxin products.1
